Joseph Iller has been working with our family for 10 months. We have a son with Down syndrome that was almost completely non-verbal when Joseph began to work with him. He had extreme behaviors, high frustration and at times, very destructive behavior. Joseph realized very quickly that our son was missing some key pieces in his development. He did not have the ability to play independently at all. There were many other issues as well.

We had previously had two other behaviorists in our home provided by the state that were not successful in treating our son.

What made Joseph different is that he was able to connect with our son in ways that others could not. Even us, as his parents and his siblings were not able to understand his needs and communicate with him effectively.

Joseph facilitated the process of moving our son out of the public school system into an amazing private school in Mission Viejo . Cole went from a moderate-severe class that was an extremely restrictive environment to a loving, thriving environment.

I can honestly say that our son would not be able to function at the level that he does now without the help of Joseph Iller. He is communicating more effectively, better able to control his frustration and enjoying a connection to others in his family and community. The most wonderful gift of all is seeing the joy on this little boys face because he is more accepted and understood.

During the course of treating our son with Down syndrome, Joseph became more and more aware of issues that our other son was having. Our other son is 12 years and has been struggling with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and anxiety. Recently his symptoms became quite severe and we needed to obtain a cutting edge medical treatment for him in Colorado . My son had become almost completely non-functioning due to his OCD and anxiety. I honestly did not know how I would be able to physically get my son onto an airplane. Joseph accompanied us on our trip and supported our son so that he could get the medical help that he needed.

Joseph has played a key role in the healing and recovery for our son. He has had to adjust the typical way in which he treats kids with the types of behaviors that my son has exhibited. He has had to be extremely creative in helping my son because OCD is a complex and ever changing, and at times debilitating condition.
